At Northeast Woodford Water District, we take care to provide our customers high quality services personalized for their unique needs. Our staff members are professional, courteous and efficient.

SEWER

The Northeast Woodford Water District bills for Sewer Fees on the water bills if you are connected to the sewer. This is a service we offer in Stonegate and Lanes View subdivisions for the convenience of their customers. It is a fee set by the Versailles Municipal Utilities.

Meters are read & billed monthly. We accept checks, cash, money orders, and credit and debit cards ( by phone and in the office). There will be a service fee for the use of cards.

EFT – Automatic bank withdrawal.  Application and voided check would need to be completed.
Your account is billed on or about the 30th of each month. If payment is not received by the 10th of the month a late penalty is added. After that, if payment is not received, “red” delinquent notices are mailed approximately on the 11th of each month. The cut-off date is noted on this notice. If the past due amount is not received before the cut-off date, water is disconnected on that day. A reconnect fee of $70 and the past due amount must be paid before water can be reconnected.
 
There is a $30 fee for all returned checks. Any returned checks and fees must be paid in cash or money order within 7 days of notice. Failure to do so places your account in delinquency and subject to disconnection.

A refundable deposit fee is required for all new customers

The Northeast Woodford Water District does not belong to “BUD”, the company that locates other utility lines around your property. We will locate our water lines for any excavation on or around your property. We cannot locate the homeowner’s lines from the meter to their house. This is the responsibility of the homeowner. Here are some additional Water Tips:

  • Don’t over-water your lawn. Water every 3-5 days in summer and 10-14 days in winter.
  • Use a broom instead of a hose to clean sidewalks.
  • Run the dishwasher and washing machine when fully loaded.
  • If you have a swimming pool, use a cover and you’ll save loss from evaporation by 90%.
  • When hand washing dishes, don’t leave water running; use 2 basins – one for washing and one for rinsing.
  • Defrost frozen foods in the refrigerator or microwave instead of using running water.
  • Limit your shower time to less than 15 minutes.
  • Turn water off while brushing your teeth.
